Israeli PM Netanyahu Rejects Obama '1967 Borders' View

Israel on Thursday rejected President Barack Obama's call for a peace deal based the 1967 borders, as the Palestinians said their leadership would hold a meeting to discuss the US leader's policy speech.

Israeli PM Netanyahu said those borders, which existed before the 1967 Middle East war, were "indefensible".

On the issue of Palestine, Obama said: "The borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps, so that secure and recognised borders are established for both states. Israeli PM Netanyahu Rejects Obama '1967 Borders' View:

Peshawar Blast Targets US Consulate Cars, 2 Killed

A roadside bomb has hit a US consulate vehicle in the Pakistani city of Peshawar, causing minor wounds to some Americans, an embassy spokesman said.
